We are a collection or organizers from across the country who have started – or are in the process of starting – people’s assemblies in the areas they live.

We come from different revolutionary traditions and different organizations (or none at all). We are committed to building durable grassroots political structures free from the cooptation of non-profits, or the domination of sectarian political organizations. We share the perspective that building assemblies is essential in this moment.

People’s assemblies have historically proven themselves to have the flexibility to grow into the capacity needed to make significant change – yet structured enough to sustain the grassroots organizing that makes mass mobilization capable of challenging the existing order.

Here are our major goals:

• To collectively network organizers who are building new assemblies in cities and towns – sharing insights, connections and resources.

• To discuss ongoing assemblies we are involved in.

• To solve problems or share what has been working in the assemblies we are a part of.

• To potentially engage in joint organizing efforts, including days of action and other forms of cooperation that we collectively deem useful or necessary.
